Materials

• Yarn – you can use any yarn for this turorial. I am using Loop & Threads Soft Classic
• Hook – size recommended on yarn packaging. I am using size I9/5.5mm

Abbreviations/Stitches

• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• sk – skip
• st(s) – stitch(es)

How to Crochet Chevron Stitch

Begin by chaining a multiple of 16 plus 2. For the purpose of this tutorial, I have chained 34.

Set up – Row 1

1. 2sc in the second ch from your hook.
2. 1Sc in each of the next 7 ch.
3. Sk 1 ch, 1Sc in each of the next 7 ch.
4. 3sc in the next ch.

Repeat steps 2-5 to the last ch, ending with 2sc in the last ch.

Row 2 – Repeat Row

Ch1, turn.

1. 2sc in first sc.
2. 1sc in each of the next 7 sc.
3. Sk 2 sc, 1sc in each of the next 7 sc.
4. 3sc in next sc.

Repeat steps 2-5 to the last ch, ending with 2sc in the last sc.

Continue repeating row 2 until your project reaches the desired length. You can color change any row you like.
